From the Principal’s Desk

I extend a warm welcome to you at Nigamananda Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Charichhak, Puri. Established in 1982 with government concurrence and affiliated since 1985, our institution has been a beacon of women’s education in this rural region. Over the years, it has played a pivotal role in empowering women through education, offering Plus Two courses since its inception and Degree-level programs since 1989. Located near the Madhabananda Temple (Mamu Ghara) of Lord Jagannath, Puri, just 5 km away, our institution is enriched with spiritual significance, adding value to the noble cause of women’s education. With over 1248 students, under graduate level, across 15 disciplines in Arts, Science and Commerce, we take pride in shaping the future of young women and fostering their academic, ethical and moral development.

Our college has successfully completed 36 years of academic excellence, emerging as a Center of attraction for women in this region. We take immense pride in our NSS, YRC and NCC wings, along with our Information Technology programs, which serve as the institution’s core strengths. Inspired by the blessings of Sri Sri Thakur Nigamananda Paramhansa, we strive to nurture responsible citizens and proud mothers of the nation, instilled with strong moral values.

Our students are studious, disciplined and dedicated, forming the backbone of our institution. The Alumni Association remains highly active and contributes significantly to society across various fields. Our faculty members, known for their intellectual excellence and unwavering commitment, work tirelessly to elevate this institution to greater heights. Likewise, our non-teaching staff are diligent, disciplined and devoted ensuring the smooth functioning of the college.
